Two 17 year olds arrested after teenage boy stabbed

Police are appealing for witnesses or information after a teenage boy was stabbed in Ipswich this afternoon.

At just after 5pm today, Thursday 16th September, police were called to reports that a teenage male had been stabbed in Beatty Road/Serpentine Road.

It is believed that the boy was approached by a group of four other teenagers prior to the assault.

The victim, a 17 year old boy, is receiving treatment in hospital but his condition is not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Two 17 year old males have been arrested on suspicion of GBH and have been taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anybody with any information to contact Ipswich CID on 101 quoting reference 279 of 16th September.
