One person rescued from flat following fire

One person had to be rescued from a bedroom following a flat fire in Lowestoft late last night.

Fire crews from North Lowestoft and Lowestoft South were mobilised to the incident on Spexhall Way at 10.58pm yesterday, Thursday 10th June.

On arrival they found a fire inside a flat with one person reported to still be inside.

Firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and one main jet to tackle the blaze.

The reported person was safely rescued from a first floor bedroom and left in the care of the ambulance service.

A stop to the incident was called at 11.20pm.
