Stolen car fails to stop following collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a stolen vehicle was involved in a fail to stop road traffic collision in Saxmundham.

It is reported that sometime between Saturday 29th May and Tuesday 1st June, a blue Ford Focus displaying registration mark KC57 MOA, parked on St Johns Road in Saxmundham, was stolen.

Police were called at around 4.50pm on 1st June to a two vehicle collision on the A12 at Saxmundham involving the Ford Focus and a BMW 435D. No injuries were reported.

The driver of the Ford Focus failed to stop at the scene of the collision but the vehicle was located a short time later on Heron Road in Saxmundham.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anybody with any information regarding the theft of the vehicle to contact police on 101.

Also, anyone who witnessed the collision, or who was driving in the area at the relevant time and has dash-cam footage are asked to contact Suffolk Police, quoting reference 28816/21.
