Several vehicles have had to be rescued from a flooded road in the village of Lavenham today.
Fire and rescue crews, along with the police, were first called to Lower Road just after 8am today, Friday 4th December.
Appliances were mobilised from Woodbridge, Sudbury, Long Melford and Bury St Edmunds and on arrival found several vehicles stuck in the water.
Water rescue teams, with help from a local farmer, were able to safely rescue the vehicles with all being clear by around 8.45am.
The same appliances were then mobilised to the same location just before 12.15pm after a van had become stuck in deep water.
Firefighters in flood suits assisted the driver in safely exiting the vehicle and accompanied them away from the water.
