A new barbershop in Sudbury is to offer free haircuts for two weeks when it opens after the current national lockdown.

Blade & Fade, which will be located on Gainsborough Street, will also be offering free beard trims and shaves during the first two weeks of trading.

The shop is entering the final stages of completion and will welcome customers as soon as the government confirms barbershops are able to open their doors again.

Blade & Fade owner, Max Littmoden, said: “I thought it would be a great way to give back to the community. Many people have been left jobless which has left them struggling to pay bills.

“Many of us have really struggled with mental health during these lockdowns which has been a result of being lonely, stuck at home with no one to talk to. We also must not forget the amazing NHS staff and other front line workers who have put their lives on the line to help us all.

“Our goal as a barbershop is not to just supply our customers with a brilliant service, but to try and help put smiles back on to people’s faces.

“Perhaps you’re someone who’s struggling to pay your bills, or maybe your just looking for a quick 30 minute chat whilst getting your hair cut to help with your mental health. Don’t worry we have your back.”

Blade & Fade will be located at 48 Gainsborough Street in Sudbury when it opens.
