St Nicholas Hospice Care hopes that a virtual version of its annual sponsored pyjama walk can be another memorable event and example of the local community getting behind an important cause.
This year, Jaynic’s Girls Night Out Walk will encourage walkers to put on their comfiest trainers and pyjamas to take on their own walk and use government guidelines to stay safe.
Each year the Girls Night Out event in Bury St Edmunds brings together more than 2,000 people for a sponsored pyjama walk in memory of loved ones and to raise money for St Nicholas Hospice Care.
This year for everyone’s safety and to keep the distance they will be asking walkers to take on their own challenge nearer to their home.
So, put on your favourite pyjamas and bunny ears (available in Hospice shops in August), plan a route and use social media to update the charity on your walk.
You will be able to complete your pyjama walk between 4.30pm and 8.30pm, on Saturday, 12 September to join others virtually across West Suffolk and Thetford.
The charity is asking for a suggested donation of £20 to set and register your own walking challenge and you will also be able to follow a dedicated live broadcast for walkers and supporters.
