Firefighters called again to fire at village garage

Firefighters have been called to a fire at a village garage for the second time in less than two weeks.

Three appliances were mobilised to the incident at Central Garage on the High Street just before 9.30pm yesterday, Saturday 3rd April.

Multiple calls were received by fire control regarding the incident with crews from Brandon and Mildenhall being mobilised to the scene.

On arrival they found two seats of fire inside the building.

Firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze.

Nobody was injured or inside the building at the time of the fire.

A stop to the incident was called at 10.31pm.

This is the second time crews have been called to the garage in less than two weeks, with fire and rescue crews being sent to a blaze at the same location on Tuesday 23rd March.
