Fire crews sent to tackle farm building blaze

Fire crews from across the region have been mobilised to a blaze involving a farm building in Little Wratting.

Appliances from Cambridge, Woodbridge, Sudbury, Long Melford, Clare, Haverhill, Wickhambrook, Bury St Edmunds, Ixworth, Brandon and Newmarket have all been sent to the incident at Great Wilsey Farm.

Crews were mobilised at 4.33pm today, Friday 4th June, to the fire which involves a single story farm building approximately 30m x 15m.

A total of 17 fire appliances have now been sent to the scene and firefighters are working hard to bring the fire under control and prevent further spread.

As of 6.30pm there are still 14 appliances in attendance.

Suffolk police are also on scene and the incident remains ongoing.
