Witness appeal after barns destroyed during fire

Police are appealing for witnesses after a large fire involving farm buildings on Friday in Little Wratting.

Officers received a call at just before 5pm on Friday 4th June, along with the fire service, to a report of a large fire at barns at Great Wilsey Farm in Little Wratting.

In excess of half a million pounds worth of damage was caused to the buildings. No-one was hurt in the fire.

Police are still liaising with the victim to establish a full list of damaged and destroyed items.

Enquires are on-going in conjunction with the fire service to establish the cause and if it was suspected arson.

Anyone who knows who caused the fire or saw any suspicious activity in the area before 5pm on Friday should contact Haverhill police on 101 quoting crime reference 37/29583/21.
