A large bag of Class A drugs was thrown to the roadside following a police chase on the A14 last night.
Officers from Suffolk Police’s Roads and Armed Policing Team stopped a BMW on the eastbound carriageway at Risby just before 6.40pm on Sunday 28th March.
A passenger in the vehicle fled the scene but he was detained a short time later.
Shortly before he was arrested he is believed to have thrown the bag of drugs to the side of the road.
Both men, one aged 32 and the other 38, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
They were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
