A number of fire crews were called to assist with the rescue of a cow that had become stuck in a mud-filled ditch late this afternoon.
At 5.45pm Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service were mobilised to a field behind Stoke College in Stoke by Clare.
Six appliances from Haverhill, Clare and Bury St Edmunds were sent to the incident including specialist rescue equipment.
Crews worked with members of the public to successfully rescue the cow from the mud.
The fire service called a stop to the incident just before 7.50pm.
Haverhill Fire Station confirmed that the cow was now out of the ditch and moving around with the rest of the herd.
